Hi All,

I have applied for my dependent PR spousal application inside Canada on October 2020, and the time frame to obtain the spousal work permit is within 6 months and spousal PR application takes about 10-12 months.
My query was should I not travel outside of canada until i get my PR , even if i have a valid work permit. My present status within canada is PG diploma , one year work permit.

Kindly let me know if there is any travel restriction if my PR application is in process.

Regards,
Manu

inland applicant should stay in Canada and live with their sponsor. The work permit and application timeline was the average processing time. Since COVID processing time is much longer. Internation travel is not recommanded during COVID anyway.

Thanks. But i have to goto India for a really emergency situation, and i was informed until i get my PR i should not got out, but there is no defined timeline as well, it could take a year also.
I have a valid work permit until May 2021.

You can expect the application to be cancelled if you leave the country for that long.

Do you hold a valid TRV at this time?
