Inland - Country of residence?

We just arrived in Canada and are starting our application. He entered as a visitor on an ETA. Would we put Canada as his country of residence, even though he just arrived here, and doesn't have a visa here, our own apartment, etc? We were residing in Ireland previously.

Yes Canada is now his country of residence.

Thanks for the reply, and yes totally. We enjoyed our time there, but we prefer life in Canada. Why do you ask? Have you ever lived there? Many, many Irish folks have immigrated/want to immigrate to Canada.

There's lots of issues in Ireland, so it surprises me that you would be surprised honestly haha.
