I am shocked we still don't have our PR card.

By shocked I mean that I completely expected this.

Hi guys, I am new here. i've been reading a lot of posts, but here is my situation.
I came here on a study permit on May 2014, got married and applied for PR (received bu CIC on Oct 2014)). I applied for an OWP on Sept 2015. When I check on my husband's ecase it says that they begun processing on August 13, 2015.
Do you have any idea when should I expect an answer for the OWP?
And is there anyone that is in the same situation and got the sponsor approval already?
Thanx for your help.

Hi,

SO we just landed yesterday and really want to travel outside of Canada (Fly).
What are the ways that we can request the PR card faster in any ?

Secondly the PRTD( Permanent Resident Travel Document ) can be requested by people who are outside Canada. Is there anything for people who are inside Canada ?

Before people were getting two AORs within couple of months. After the second one you could check status online. Each AOR was addressed either to sponsor or to the person being sponsored and contained his/hers uci, name and common application number.

The end is near! We received an email stating that they have finished processing our application and the Halifax office should be in touch to schedule an appointment. Not getting my hopes up, but really feeling good about this!

See this:

In-Canada PR applications
(In accordance with GCMS release) AOR will be issued by CPC-Vegreville:

to the sponsor or authorized representative, in the case of in-Canada sponsorship applications;

------

Unless things have `officially' changed, CIC only sends one AOR. Now, for awhile last year, they were giving applicants temporary file numbers (starting with `X', I believe) and then (apparently) following up with the actual file number (beginning with `F'). Perhaps this is what people are calling the second AOR?

Hi, I was told that you can request for a rush on the PR card, it will cost $50 but they can't guarantee anything. I'm at work don't have the number with me but the number is listed in the paper they gave us at landing with bunch of info re: sponsoring other people, citizenship requirement, etc etc, under the PR card section. I can check for you when I get home if you can't find it.

The lady at landing told me that if you want to be absolutely sure, just apply for one time entry visa once you're outside of the country. Or fly out of the state, and drive back to canada. She did say that either way it's a hassle so she would really recommend waiting for the card, which I intend to do.

You are only required to bring two PR photo pictures. 50mm x 70mm size photo with face 31-36mm.

One photo will be attached to COPR and the other photo will be sent to CIC-Sydney for PR card.

Explain to the photo shop that it is a PR photo that you are required. Most photo shops knows there are two different photo specs from citizenship and PR photos. They usually ask which photo specs you need.

!!!!!!! They only took one of my photos!!!

Was that a mistake? Anyone who recently landed had the same experience? She just gave me back the other photo.
