I just found an interest change to my sponsor's ecas. I first logged into ecas in May(AOR dated Feb 2014), at the time only applicant's page has the update of AOR but not in sponsor's until 2 weeks ago. However, when I logged into sponsors page, they updated the same AOR information to the page.
Could this be a good sign ?
I cannot log into ecas..i am a march 2014 applicant

Hi,
I was asked to send some updated forms and I sent with in a week... I got delivery confirmation through Canada Post... Do I need to call them as well and confirm if they have received updated forms and included to my file... or should I just leave and let them work... Please advice

Did you include an email when you sent your application? If so, I'd double check the sponsor's email as a lot of people seem to note that it went there instead of the applicants :)

If you didn't include an email, you won't get an AOR (according to several calls we made to the CIC, which seems to be holding true as we still have no sight of an AOR but can log into E-cas fine with no problem). It might be worth a call seeing that a few people have been able to get a case number by using their UCI or receipt number. We had no luck with the call centre, and it still isn't attached to our receipt number oddly enough, but nonetheless everything seems to be there. You might have to hold on and wait for e-cas int that case.

I'd also call them if you did include an email (others might be able to advise better than me), just in case they have the wrong email address, which you would really want to clear up. Although I'm not sure if they can do that through the call centre.

Yes, we did include emails on the application. I checked our tracking number for Canada Post - we mailed the application out on 18 July 2014 and it was recorded as being duly received by CIC on 21 July 2014. I will try to call tomorrow to understand what is happening because this is ridiculous. At this point, I am wondering if it is faster to see if we can cancel our inland application and apply from outland - my wife is from Japan and I think the processing times were much shorter...

Ha Ha, the way things are going we will land in 2017 sometime.

I sure hope not, but no matter when it is, we are still one week closer. I am feeling the stress just like anyone else here - I'm due to give birth in 3 weeks without health coverage, but I am trying to do what I can to stay positive and just hope things speed up soon.

By the rate they are going, it will be a 10x quicker process which is ridiculous

I highly doubt japanese applicant can go any faster with outland. Since they need to use manila office which is 17months.

Wow... Total F**kwits!

I know nobody would have ever guessed that but they updated their webpage, July 30th ;D

Has anyone tried requesting CIC's corporate records under the Access to Information Act (the other option on ATIP)? I spoke to our local MP (or at least the guy who represents our MP on immigration matters) and although he's been doing it for 10 years had no idea this was even a possibility.

So I'm not sure whether they'll give me what I'm looking for but essentially I asked for the contact info for CPC-M's manager, any and all information (mandates, memos, policies, etc) about what exactly CPC-M has been doing since Jan 2014, e.g. number of applications received and processed by type, anything indicating the processing of outland applicants as according to the London outland applicants, some of their applications are staying in Canada and are being directed to either CPC-Ottawa or CPC-M.

CIC claims transparency but they aren't exactly being very forthcoming with the reasons as to why processing times keep increasing and why they aren't processing any inland apps but more so why they've assigned CPC-M to process outland apps when they can't even manage the current workload. If I get anything close to the kind of info I'm looking for it will be the best $5 I ever spent but as usual, it'll be 30 days before I get a response...

Wait wait wait...you have delivery confirmation by Canada post, leave the officer work in yours and other cases. Remember they gave you time to submit the forms ? The visa officer will review your file on the due date or after.
