Since of the long processing times and it being around 13 Months EVEN before your application is looked at what happens if a new form is released? Surely by the time someone starts to process your application it will already be outdated..

Doesn't work that way. The application forms are locked in at time of submittal. It is no difference in the lock in age of dependents. So as long as the applications forms were updated at the time of submitting the application, it is fine. Doesn't matter how often the applications forms are updated after you submitted the application. However if you submitted an outdated form (ie used aug 2013 instead of aug 2014) and sent it in this month, then it becomes a problem. You would be wasting 3-6 months or even the whole 1st stage since it would likely to be returned.

that was the same question I had, like we used 2013 form at that point of time, it was the form to be used. But now it shows there is 2014...So in my idea it would be okay as long as 2013 version was the most updated at that point of time.

Talked with CIC,told me to wait till next year September2015... Our timeline is that we applied in May 2014. AOR in august 2014.. Do u guys believe is this true? now its 14 months......
Can any expert comment on timeline...for stage 1. Seriously thinking ....

Well for whatever his word is worth (HA!) Chris Alexander did comment on the processing time dropping to 6 months by January 2015. But they will really have to start processing like crazy to catch it up to that time!!!!!!!!!

Yes. You thought correct. Your application would process as normal as they were the latest application forms at the time of submitting it. Your application is locked in at that point.

I was told that he was referring to citizenship applications, not `In-Canada spousal sponsorship' PR applications.

In fact he was referring to his invention of "Express Entry" system for skilled migrants. Family class is still at the very bottom alongside refugees. In current Canadian immigration system, top priority is temporary foreign workers.

Chris Day, Minister's assistant confirmed on his twitter that big (and positive) changes are coming soon for Inland as well as all family classes though. So they did respond to massive inquires from the public.

Twitter interview don't mean a da*n thing to anyone. It is not an official CiC information channel. Anyone can say anything they want on twitter/facebook or any other social media as far as I'm concerned. They are not official information channels. Only emails / publications from CIC directly are the only source of information.
