Well, hubby landed today without incident. It's over! When we applied the wait time was six months. It took 18 months! Plus the year we lived together as common-law = a long time! The system is very broken. I hope that they sort the issues out for all of you who have applied after us. The OWP pilot program is a step in the right direction but obviously needs work since people are being left behind. I am thankful that we were able to be together during the process and also thankful that we were able to apply at all. Would just like there to be less hardship during the process. Good luck to those of you still waiting and congrats to everyone who has received good news. Thank you to all of you for sharing your stories. This forum has been a life line for me. And a special thanks to Sophieee and the others who created and maintained the worksheets. The information is valuable and very appreciated.

Hey guys! It's great to see many happy faces in this forum, after many depressing months.
We applied on September 3, 2013, got our OWP in January 2015 and CIC asked for medical one week later. We submitted it this week. Police certificates were already submitted.
Do you know what's the waiting time for second stage at the moment? Should we wait for 8 months just for the medical confirmation?

Anyone else notice that Feb. 2014 OWP applications are kind of being skipped over....just our bad luck

I'm on the same boat and it's been 12 months after AIP and OWP. I recently received a letter from Vegreville (yes my file is still there) to request update Medical Exam. Back into ultimate waiting mode...

Sept 2014 application:

Work permit issued by CIC on 22 January.

We haven't still received it.

Can anyone who has received theirs, advise how long it took them to receive it after the date it was issued ?

Yes I'm still waiting for DM and landing letter (hopefully). I just updated Medical Exam 2-3 weeks ago and hopefully will hear back from Vegreville soon.

Today is February 4th, 2015 - still have not received any news about DM or anything. I haven't been the most updated about what's going on with the progress.

It looks like a lot of Vancouver-ites have been landed but we aren't.

Over 3 weeks since DM and still no landing from Vancouver. So tired of waiting I was hoping this would wrap up quick . On the spreadsheet most people who landed in Vancouver did so within a month of DM so really hoping it is soon. For now I suppose I wait.... more.

Wow! Right after the email.. we just received the confirmation of permanent residence letter.

But it says we still have to pay the "Right of Permanent Residence Fee of $490.00" .

Is there a way to check online if we have paid that or not? I can't remember the website at the moment. I thought we paid for all the fees... hmm

Hey MisterBob haven't seen you around the forum for ages. Was wondering how your file was going.
I'm not sure if has to do with if you are landing in Vancouver or not when you are waiting for DM. But yeah we are in the same boat as you MisterBob waiting for DM since Feb 2014 looks like we have been skipped over. So waiting for DM plus the long wait for a landing date after DM at Vancouver office who knows when we will be done this process

What you just got DM then ?? Congrats do you have your receipt saying your paid the fee's you probably did it when you filed your app.

Glad to know you still recognize me! Yes, it's been a while.

I'll try to be more active back again on this forum. It's just been a tough and busy year since then.

I remember taking a photo copy of the fees and paying for this RPRF of $490.00 when I sent in the fee. Unfortunately my credit card online statement does not go back that far and I am currently still at work.

I just hope we don't have to pay twice again for it. I don't know any other way online that I can view the payment as I don't think there was a copy sent to our email once paid.
