I am just so burned out working 2 jobs, I want to spend more time at home with my son. He is growing up too quick, and I feel I am missing moments from working too much Plus, it is a real strain on my husband that being the man, he can’t work. Everyone is on edge. We are going into debt, barely making ends meet, credit cards all maxed, late on payments…..It is sooo stressful. I know many others are going through this same thing, it’s not just me, we are all in this together…but yesterday it just really hit me and was a bad day for it.

What made it the worst was thinking when the GCMS notes arrived it was my AIP, and it was like the opposite! lol

Sowe got AIP a few weeks back and are waiting on my wifes open work permit. Thing is, her closed work permit expires in December. Does she need to leave the company and stop working if we don't get the open work permit in time?

As long as she has already filed for her OWP and her current permit is not IEC or PGWP then no, she doesn't need to leave her job or quit working. Her OWP already being filed gives her implied status because her current permit is still valid. I would call again in another week or so to ensure they have put the permit in the mail and such.

You are not alone ACS, me and my partner are in debts too. He works hard like 70-80hrs a week just to support us and pay the bills. It sucks because I can't work and I have to stay at home, I'm so bored! I hope you will receive a good news this week.

*whispers in her ear* It's still official, even if hubby doesn't have his. They don't approve the sponsor then decline to move along with the spouses application. Sometimes they are slackers and don't send the official AIP email to the applicant. If they don't do that, just pester them every couple of days and they will send one eventually. I had to do that back when.

I am assuming it is just a generic message, but on my letter it has a section about paying the RPRF (Right of PR Fee), we paid our full application upfront, like the $1040 or whatever it was….

That means we don’t need to worry about paying more, correct??
