MP stands for Member of parliament. It is not something that you get or order. it is a person who represents a certain district in your province, like a local representative. to find the sponsor's mp, simply google "how to locate my mp in (insert province name)". Most MPs will only get involved with your case if you are well beyond the posted processing time for approval. Most people report MPs not being too helpful, while others say their MP was great. It's really a c**pshoot. CIC legally has to respond to an MPs request within a few days, so that is why people ask them to inquire about application delays.Princess029 said:

YES! when you find who your mp is, there will be contact information for them. you can email or call the office. remember, an mp is not obligated to help, nor will most help applicants until you are WELL BEYOND the posted processing time for your application category. considering you submmited your app in aug 2013 and the website states they are now processing july 2013 apps, my guess is your mp will tell you to just stay patient and call back once you are out of the posted processing time.Princess029 said:
