Hi Guys,

It's been awhile since I've made any posts. I need some advise.

Hubby received decision made on April 25th on his PR app and the application was approved (as told by the immigration officer via email). now it's been 2 months 10 days and we have not received landing appointment or any sort of update. I called the CIC and they said that the local office still hasn't booked the appointment as of yet.

My question is how long does it normally takes for the CIC to issue the landing letter after decision made?

I have been calling the CIC almost everyday I was told that the Calgary office has no delays but it seems to me that they do now...

please advise.

I had the same issue with the etobicoke office after my 2 months I called and within a week received my letter just keep calling until you get your letter

It took me a week for Calgary office for my landing letter and scheduled my landing interview in a month.
I landed at Calgary office yesterday, in 15 mins done.

Ur partner should accompany you and he should have valid ID and address proof. They did check for husband.

I took 2 photos with me but they took only 1.

But not at CPC-V, which is where the skeleton crew is that seems to be working on those 2013 apps. They won't be seeing anything more than what they have now.

Still, it's a shame if they letting people go, so that might be they cutting down staff and our files were transfer to a place that is already too busy, and now we stuck there. In fact, February in CPC-V was a very productive month, and I wish they had never changed offices.

Still now, I believe CPC-V works way faster then CPC-M, the biggest problem is the 1st stage delay in CPC-M.
Last year they had a reason, and they pick it up at some point, now they have no explained reason and we never know if it's lack of staff or lack of care or when the time frame is going down for AIP's.

I am surprised they only took 1 of your photos. There is a reason to bring 2 photos. One to attach to COPR and the other to send to Halifax for PR card.

I was surprised too, but she attached 1 to the paper I had to sign and gave the 2nd one back to me

Is there anything to worry about?

OH NO :'(

I know we should be expecting that, since at least on here we can actually tell when there is some movement or not.....but it just makes me want to cry....I actually have tears welling up in my eyes sitting here at work.... *sigh*

The worst part is that we now KNOW they can work quickly. We SAW how fast they were going in Feb to get through as many Apps as they could before the transfer.

So that means they CAN.

Why would they not work at that speed on a regular basis????????? They are seriously affecting people’s lives!!!

It’s just so frustrating…just glad I have you guys on here who understand the feeling.
