This immigration process takes forever. Not sure what to do whilst waiting. I spend hours on Google searching and reading about inland applications. I know I am being impatient, will have to wait like everyone else. Happy waiting lovely people

I sent in my Inland Spouse app on the 6th of March and got my AOR Today March 15th! I just need to re-send some docs they asked for.

I sent in the medical, police and OWP with my inland application.

Hi Amikety,

My husband is from the US and we've just gone through the first stage in the sponsorship application. We got the news yesterday that we're both eligible but we're missing police certificates for the process to continue. On the CIC website, it says that going through the FBI, the police certificates will require 4-5months to get to us! I see that yours only took 5 weeks (phew!), but can you tell me if you went through the FBI or one of the Channelers? We really need to get this done as soon as possible to make the 3 month deadline they've given us. Thanks!

ALSO... does anyone know if a police record check obtained from the local police department (in the US) is valid, or do we HAVE TO go through the FBI to get it?

I sent it all at once (OWP, medical and police) and fedex'ed it, so I could track it as well. Labeled all the pages in word first, so the IO knows what they are looking at. Put the receipts to show proof of payment for the whole application and the OWP. I think they are just processing faster to be honest but who knows.. Yeah, probably will be 6 months before i get AIP though, but hopefully sooner! Yeah, me and my spouse are married. I think it's better to organize it so the IO doesn't have to do as much work. AOR isn't an approval, it's an acknowledgement of receipt. Still a great thing! But AIP - approval in principle is still to come and takes about 6 months.

The forum software disables specific functionality until you have 10 posts. PM is one of those functions.

Hi I'm new here.
I applied mid October 2012 and got my AOR on nov-1-2012.
So my question is it too late to apply for my OWP bcuz i didn't do it with the sponsorship application. And also can I do it online or do I have to send it in through the mail.
