Is there anyone lately receiving notification that their files will be transfered to local offices for further investigation? Looks like 99% of applicants are getting straight approvals these days. Or am I too optimistic?

Cpc m know what they are doing dont worry about it if your application is legit why worry about it

Hello,

About pr card, someone who just got it could you tell me
If the card arrive at your house and the postal guy just put it on your mail box?
Or you have to be there, to sign? Or you have to pick it up ?

Thanks!

It probably will this afternoon. :) Just as a guess, I'm thinking it will probably change to about July 24th, just because that's the furthest along we've seen for AIP so far.

I would say its gonna go up to August 5. Lol

I didn't know the correct procedure and just requested one in writing in a note with my application. When they sent it back to me it was part of the more info they needed so I applied then.

Basically when I applied the first time I was banking on implied status. But they sent it back and when I resubmitted my visa was expired. I read the implied terms as submitting your app before your permit expires.. Which I did. Just hope cic takes into account the first time I sent it.

Yes unfortunately that is not the correct procedure.

I'm not sure if they will say anything that you put implied status on your application. Technically you are without status since your app got sent back to you.

At this point I think all you can do is wait for your PR to come through.

Would applying for a visitor visa or anything of that sort help? I've waited too long and have come too far to have my life ruined by the fact that they sent it back to me. Seems like if they saw a problem with what I put on my app they would send it back to me to fix immediately instead of taking a year to crush my dreams

You can't apply for a visitor visa b/c technically you are out of status and it's too late to get restoration of status. Note you can still get PR even if you don't have status. I think you should be okay but maybe it's worth checking with a lawyer to give you peace of mind.
