No we have not received anything yet.

From what I understand the second stage is delayed until my PC is finished.
Guys ..FIRST STAGE AIP known as Approved In Principal (sponsorship approved) and Second Stage is DM (last decision made for the person getting sponsor)
CIC Always ask for Medical and PCC for that person ( I mean the person getting sponsor ) In second stage
Guys please try to check ur emails and email in junk box again ..i was feeling that u already got ur AIP ...may i know what kind of email they send u when they request for ur medical and pcc ??

Hello Everyone,

I haven't been here for a while, Received my SIN Card a few days ago.. Waiting for that PR Card..

Hope all of you have been getting good news and continue to get more..

Best of lucks

Thank goodness for this forum, I find this so confusing. Thus the reason for getting the consultant despite the expense.

We experienced our entire "complete" packet being returned after it's submission in 2012 for questions regarding family members. Our application was resubmitted in May 2013 and we have been praying and trying to patiently wait.
Unfortunately, while running through his check-list with us in October 2011, our consultant incorrectly checked off that he had sent away for my FBI police clearance. And in January 2014 said that despite receiving the fingerprint card and fee, it had not been done said that the clearance can take a couple of months, hence delaying things :(

The letter that we received states: It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for PR, however a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a PR are met.
- medical exam
- FBI police certificate

Question??? The letter does not mention my spouse/sponsor - do they also require a medical and Police clearance at some point?

Congratulations! You're getting close to the end of this roller coaster.

No, your sponsor does not need to provide anything more!

Thank you for your reply :-).

The letter we received, was that our AIP? If not, will we receive it further on in this process?

hello Canuck*soon,

yes this is AIP :D :D, first stage approved!!!
the letter says:It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for PR,
this means that your sponsor has been approved, the medicals and PCC is for the principal applicant only, I presume it is you.

good luck ;) ;)

Thank you :D this is so exciting!
So happy that we stumbled across this forum as this process has been lengthy and so confusing. Our representative has not been reliable - so we are very thankful for this forum.
Thank you for answering questions and shedding light on my situation.
It is so very appreciated.

Felicidades Tica!! :) We met this family from CR that we had over on the weekend. It is nice for my husband to have some contact with other Tico's....although it has been so many years since he lived there!

Hope your PR Card comes in soon! :)

O-ho! Taman kad sam gotova pojavio se netko ''domaci''! Ja sam prezivjela i njihov (imigracija) strajk i cekanje od 10+ mjeseci i konacno imamo landing interview u utorak. Jos ti je sreca sto mozes raditi jer ja vec skoro godinu dana zivim bez zdravstvenog, posla... Kao teski parazit! Zapravo sam ti htjela dati koju rijec podrske...
