wanted to consult with you guys before I even approach my lawyer, since I have realized a long time ago that this a much better information source and people here are much more knowledgeable. :D
1. I was thinking of applying for OWP, since I haven't sent it with my app, and I should receive my AIP in the next few months hopefully, but I wasn't sure if its still an option for people that applied out of status. anyone knows??
2. also, how long into the process is it recommended to order GCMS notes, so that it wouldn't be too early but neither too late? :P

I just received an email about 30 mins ago as follow:

"We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Kitchener will contact you concerning your permanent resident status."

I think this is DM? Will I get a call or an email from Kitchener office? What's the landing timeline in Kitchener office?

App filed: Jan 21, 2013
OWP sent: Oct 8, 2013
AIP: Nov 19, 2013
OWP received: December 2, 2013
DM: Jan 3, 2014

Please update the info for me! Thanks!

That is a DM letter. Congrats.

Hi Everyone:

I just looked the 2013 spreadsheet, and realized most people received DM (Step 2) and AIP at the same day.
It that true? because I just received my AIP. I wanna figure out how long for DM (Step2)

Thanks

That's great news. Did you include you Med exam, non-criminal record with your initial application?

Thanks

Thanks guys! Still no news, it drives me insane. I haven't done my medicals and paid the other half of the immigration fee, so I am definitely aware we won't get AIP and DM at the same time. Even if we rush and get it all sorted will that take another couple months to get a landing date?

Hi Lina.a

Seems like you are very close. My suggestion would be to at least schedule an appointment for your medicals. Sometimes it takes time for medical appointment. Since your case is still under process, my thought is that CIC will not transfer your case and it will be a smooth approval.

To pay the fees as soon as possible will help too. Are you using an immigration lawyer?

Alright thanks. Now I see there are different types of languages - does that matter whether it's one or another, or do I just pick one randomly? No we aren't using any immigration lawyers. We will be paying them next week or the week after hopefully. Yeah I'm thinking they'd transfer our file a long time ago if that was the case. Why they are taking so long beats me. It's just frustrating, I am more than eager to get health care, start looking for jobs and feel a little less stressed, just like everyone else who is waiting still :)

I started a new topic for inlanders applying this year as well, hopefully we will see some action on there. But you are always welcome to write on here as well! :)
