Anyone can help mi.can i change a dependent from accompany to non-accompany after been send off to cic?????????????

Did you already receive the letter that says (something like) "We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application is complete and you will be contacted by your local CIC office, blah blah blah..."?

If you DID, this looks like the landing appointment letter, where you will be asked three questions, some of which could be:

Have you been ordered to leave Canada?

Have you committed a crime?

Are you still with your sponsor?

Are you supposed to go to this interview with your sponsor? are they fine if you show up alone?

Can you please share if you eCas was updated stating that your landing letter was mailed?

We are waiting for landing letter for Etobicoke since 30 days and do not know if anything is slipped by us. How do we know when they issue a landing letter other than receive the email or the snailmail? As mentioned we received DM almost 30 days ago.

@ Ponga ....... I am worried that we could be in a similar situation since we have not seen any Landing letter since 30 days for Etobicoke. How can we check if they issued a landing letter to us and somehow we missed it? If we call CIC and check will they be able to look into the their system and advise us if a landing date was set?

Also does eCas update when a landing letter is issued?

We finally got the landing letter yesterday, the landing date is March 21 2015.

If I remember correctly from this thread, we have to bring:

1. Photos for applicant
2. PR Receipt
3. Applicant's passport
4. Sponsor's IDs

Is there anything else we should bring?

Are you supposed to go to this interview with your sponsor? are they fine if you show up alone?

The sponsor must also attend the landing appointment/interview because they will need to confirm that they still wish to sponsor the applicant.

Not only that, they will want to confirm that the sponsor is in fact alive and living in Canada with applicant as required by inland sponsorship rules.

Does any of you know how long does it take for the Calgary office to set a landing date?

Congrats ! Looks like they have been busy. We got our dessision made letter two days ago.
And told Edmonton office will contact us.
I heard it's about 2 weeks, but can be sooner.
Keep an eye on both your email and snail mail because they can send the appointment time either way.

Hi everyone! My app was received by CIC Mississauga on 17/09/2013. December 2014 (yes 1 year and 3 months later) I got a letter demanding additional documents. Sent them asap 2 weeks later. Haven't heard a thing so far. Is it possible that I am on kind of a "on hold" status because the deadline for add. Documents to be sent is 24/03/2015????? I'm waiting since 1 1/2 years now to get my first stage approval. This is getting a bit ridiculous. I find as a bureaucratic German. On top....can anyone tell me how to get my status changed from newby to member on this webpage.? Thanks guys. miri
