Are the GCMS notes still seeming to come out only after 30 days?
Sort of hoping to get the notes before we land...
I order them 3 times , the first time I omitted the consent letter thing , and I never received them .
Second and third time I included the C L , and got notes exactly 30 days after , on both

People waiting for Landing interview for VANCOUVER.

I got my DM January 21st, just received email from Vancouver Office with my date.
So it took about 2 weeks to get a word from them.

Ok. Thanks Tilikun.

And btw...congrats on your landing, despite the whole fiasco...can't believe CIC's incompetence. Every time I think I've heard the worst, there is more. lol.

Thanks for sharing. gave you a +1!

Just got the DM letter yesterday, Feb 4th - hopefully to hear back by end of February! From skimming through the list it looks like approx 2-5 weeks for Vancouverites from DM to landed.

Congrats missworld! :)

What date did you receive your DM, and how much later your landing interview date?

My hubby got DM on Feb.2nd and said Etobicoke will contact us to set up the landing interview date:
"We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in ETOBICOKE will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application."

Were they nice at the office? Did they ask you the standard 3 questions: -Committed a crime? -Dependent children? -Ever been denied entry into Canada? (I think that's what they are?) Do they explain anything first or just give you those questions?
I didn't receive any DM letter just received an email from landing office directly and my ecas changed next day that DECISION MADE.. I got landing email on 26 jan and landed on 4th feb.

yeah they asked those 3 questions and if there is any dependents ... they were very nice to everybody... My passport was with CBSA so I went to CBSA to remind them to send my passport to landing office before 4th feb... So it was there on time... they just explain about COPR that its new and u have to keep it safe... u will receive PR CARD in 6 to 8 weeks

this is all they asked

So I did a upfront medical when we applied for P.R ( it was only 10 months wait start to finish when we applied ) thought one year for medical to expire would be fine . We got AIP in Feb 2014 & since then Ecas has said medical results received.

What are the chances off CIC asking for another medical ? Since it's expired now. Has any other members had medical results on ecas & still got asked to do another medical ?
Don't really want to have to pay another $300 for medical & more delays cause CIC can't do their job efficiently.

We did our medical back in june 2013, and were not requested to do another one. I haven't seen anyone lately saying they were asked to re-do it. I wouldn't worry.

Haha. You are right tilikun. So tired with this whole process but feels good to be done.
So i landed yestrday in edmonton. It was very quick. Same 3 questions.
I got my photo taken in london drugs which i paid for 12 for 8 copies but i felt uneasy that it wasnt the right one so i went to the canada place where one of the members suggested, ordered 4 copies and paid 21. Sheeesh expensive. But for those in edmonton, i used the london drugs pic (thanks tilikun) and it was the right one.
Question for those who landed, in your copr under personal details - PA, it says there marital status is single. Got a little paranoid, but when hubby saw it he said it was talking about my marital status before i came here as in the same potion it listed all details like date of entry to canada etc. i was never married so i was guessing that was about it.. So if anyone can check..
Also got my permanent sin. They also asked all the previously issued visas.
So thats about it. Good luck everyone.

Coming to this forum, especially reading this post has made the wait more bearable. Like many others, I received the email from CIC this morning. It is probably the “DM” letter, telling me that Vancouver office will contact me to finalize my PR application. But I received another email at the same time telling me that a refund of $490 has been initiated. By the amount I’d assume it’s the Right of Permanent Residence fee I’ve paid after AIP. I’m paid online; send the receipt to processing center. My UIC number is on the receipt. Does anyone have the same experience? Also, someone here mentioned that I’ll be asked to bring all my previous visas, but I’ve destroyed most of the expired visas, will that be a problem? Thanks!

Why would CIC be refunding your RPRF (*gulp*)?!?!
