Same procedure but processing had reached almost 1 month every week

Hopefully same thing will happen in January 2015.

Hi Everyone.

Just received my GCMS notes and we are still waiting for DM. It says on the notes, final decision pending until Jan 2015 when inland processing commences. . So i guess here's the reason to waiting forever for apps to be processed. On the bright side, my guess is that everyone should start getting AIP+DM around January, just like last year.

Ours says they have to process in December....Let us wait and see

I'm wondering if there is any way we can request that we get a 3 year OWP instead of 1 year?

We applied thru Vegreville, of course before the change, and thats where the OWPs are processed also. My husband got a new passport, since his old one expires on the 14th of this month. We sent the new passport info to Mississauga. I wonder if we also must send this to Vegreville now too for the OWP processing?? Any ideas?

I believe the expiry date of OWP is based on the validity of your passport.
Thats why some get one year and some get 3 years.

I forgot next week is a federal holiday week...nothing happens in that week ...everyone makes it a long weekend and only works 3 days.

Random I think. Passport has 10 years left on it got one year OWP.

Your passport has a validity for 10 years? What country you from?
Usually passport has validity of 5 years.

hi todare, did you get your MSP yet? We are also in BC and have MSP covered with the letter from CIC saying file has been transferred to CPC-M

Not our experience. I had the sponsorship letter and here in BC they did not accept it as AIP. I think the guy on the phone just wanted to get rid of you. The letter to your husband shows that they are processing his PR and that is AIP and what is required here in BC

Usually passport has validity of 5 years.

April, many countries including Canada offer 10 year passports.

Unacceptable!! So that means that they're done for this year and the processing time for just stage 1 is going up to 17 months? I was kinda afraid for that since I read the article about the immigration quota.... It's so depressing, they really don't know and don't care about our situation which is getting harder and harder every day!

the worst case scenario, you can always renew the OWP using your AIP and you can always have implied status while new OWP application is in process.

We asked for the GCMS notes too. Howlong did it take for them to send it? Did you get the email or cd? We have been waiting for DM too. I applied on June of 2013 and still no DM. sucks

well, I don't think anyone in this forum could foretell when AIP will come. As a matter of fact, no one could. Just be patient and wait. actually what else can we do except waiting?
