hello friends....i m new to this thread & need your assistance...actually i m applying for canada inland immigration to sponsor my wife and in spouse/common law questionnaire IMM 5285E should we have to answer Question no. 7 even if we are married?? thanks in advance.......

I would not worry. They were stuck on October 5th applications for the last 4 weeks. It would explain the 1 month delay. However it finally moved to Oct 8th. hopefully it will go faster this time.

I know complaining isn't gonna speed up the process or anything but how come i have seen people who have sent their application in way after some of the people and already have decision made how can this be

Just an update!
My friend got dm in february and she finally got her interview date from etobicoke today! She has interview in 14 days!
Congrats to all d AIPs and DM ! Hope my DM comes soon

Congrats to your friend for her landing date. Any idea of what day your friend gotten her DM in Feburary? It appears that Etobicoke office is much like the Calgary office. A 3 month wait from DM to Landing.

I guess the 7-8 week lead time at Etobicoke given by CIC agent was meant for when to get a letter from them, not landing date.

What you could do is when you find the page with rusty's post on it, save page as a favorite. This way whenever you want to view rusty's timesheet, click on fav link and click on rusty's link.

Hello....

I came across this forum last week and i was going through each and every page. I am almost at page # 300.

I got a DM email today. Below is my timeline:

Application Received: August 31, 2012
AOR: November 28, 2012
AIP: February 17, 2013
DM: April 25, 2013

The letter states that the Calgary Immigration Office will contact me.

This forum is amazing and the people are super amazing. I was very impressed when i saw the spreadsheet of 2012 applications.
Could someone please add me to that spreadsheet of 2012.

I still have quite a few pages to read before i catch up to page # 354. GREAT WORK GUYS!

Hi guys, I have just got an e-mail from CIC.I am cofused if it is DM or AIP.
It states ''This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident
status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in SCARBOROUGH will contact you concerning your permanent
resident status.
Please note: At the time of your appointment, you and your family members, if any, will
be required to present the original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration
Centre. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be
made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the
confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your
passport or identity documents."

I received my OWP in the mail on Apr 19, 2013
Applied online for OWP after I got AIP on Mar 5, 2013 so 45 days for online app.

PS. just a thought here regarding the spreadsheet:

on the average wait times, if you use the geometric mean instead of average it gives a more realistic wait time because geometric mean is not sensitive to outliers such as very small numbers or very large numbers.
for example: for the few people who'll end up waiting maybe 600 days or more to get something that for others takes typically 150 days, the average skews the wait time to a longer period where most people don't wait that long. The same goes for the few people who waited 1 day for something where that is not the norm and others typically wait much longer.

geomean does not work zeros though so you might run into some difficulty for the people who got AIP and DM on same day. ! suggest changing the zeros to ones.

so instead of average use "=geomean(your range)"
just a thought...

I apologize for all the post this morning but I like to acknowledge everybodies accomplishments and good news. The spreadsheet is now up to date. There have been a few posts about how to improve the spreadsheet and I appreciate them, I need to see if I can find the time to do them.

Oh ya, I almost forgot! I got my letter from Saskatoon office last night. Our landing appointment is 9:00 AM on May 16th. WWWWWAAAAHHHOOOOOO!

We called Cic today and they said they are still working on my background check, and told us call again in nother FEW MORE MONTHS! What the hell!!! I really dont understand what they are doing!
I have a question:
Can I apply for study permit now? cuz I need to come back school in Fall.
