I have a question. In the application form what do you write as your (applicant) status in the country if his refugee claim was recently denied. would he still be a "refugee claimant" or what?

Not sure what the whole story is. But if his refugee claim has been denied, sounds like he no longer has any status in Canada. In theory he should be deported back to country where he came from.

However once CIC receive application, then your husband's staus become implieÐ status, until AIP stage. I wouldn't be surprised if CIC looks into your application with more scrutiny as they may believe he married out of convience since he been denied refugee status.

You could say. Other - " No status - refugee status denied"
If I were in your place.

Need to explain why no status. Once someone claim refugee status, he/shes loses all other status including visitor status, everything while waiting refugee status

Landed in Scarborough office.

It appears that I owe you a beer however my guess was on false information on your timesheet as it was listed as Edmonton. So edmonton is not Patience place of residence after all. My guess was based on false info or patience did not inform you of new resident. Or rusty had inside info I wasn't aware of.

@patience. Congrats on you® hubby getting PR at scarborugh. Congrats all around.
