Hi Canham,congrats for ur open work permit's arrival..finally! now,i may have to ask u a favor pls. i couldnt find the document checklist for the application for working permit,would u mind sharing the link pls.? i have to re-apply and send this time a paper application but been looking around and couldnt see the right one for the inside canada work permit application. thanks a lot.

I got my owp last week...they gave me 5 years lol I dunno why they gave me so long I hope it doesn't mean a bad thing like my app gonna take forever! Lol I hope not!....and ya my remarks say the same

Right away. Just go to the nearest Service Canada with your open work permit

Thank you very much. one last question,it does say that i have to enclose the stamp form for the payment.can i just pay it oline and enclosed the receipt or i really have to go to the bank? problem is i dont have the imm5401,i have to order it and takes weeks before it arrives.

Usually about 5 minutes once you get to an agent at Service Canada. They need your work permit and your passport or identity document.

I was also asked to give address proof too.. just bring any letter along (like the one u got from CIC)

Hello. Happy to say got email today 10 days after additional information sent for more proof of common law and now have AIP. They stated in the email that I could now apply for work permit which I did with initial application. Does this mean I need to reapply???

I got AIP yesterday, and woke up to an email this morning from them asking me to again redo the Schedule A - Background form. They wanted it updated from when I sent it in for the 2nd time in December after AOR...
