nonoo, I am sorry for the loss of your Grandmother. I am also happy for the completion of your journey. I want to thank you for your kind words to all of US who have become friends on the forum. I accept the news of landing from everyone with mixed emotions. Even though I am happy for them I also know I have friends here that I will miss.

Both you and your Grandmother have completed a journey and you can take solice in the fact that she is sharing in your happiness even though it is mixed with sadness at the same time. Make her proud and enjoy your success and happiness as a permanent resident of Canada.

Please let US know when your pr card arrives. Take care and overtime you look up to the heavens smile, because someone will be smiling back at you.
Thank you so much everyone. I've learned that when we take care of each other, these unhappy times are easier to bear. . I am especially pleased to have received these expressions of sympathy from everyone--they had a healing effect on me. Thanks for your generous thoughts.

Hello everyone! Do I need to submit a police clearance from Canada eventhough I submitted a police clearance from my home country? Is it really a requirement? I have been living in Canada for more than 2 years now and some of the forums I read they said that If you lived in Canada for 6 months or longer you need to get one.

Thanks!
this is what the guideline says "These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18".

And i just called in CIC to Double confirm with that, the Rep said for canadian police clearance we take care of that you dont have to submit it your self

maybe that could make it easier for you when you call in to the CIC call center, after calling the number press 111110 ( five 1's and one 0 ) it will take you straight to an agent so you dont have to go through listening the whole automated machine options which takes forever. iam sure some of you already know that and hopefully it will make it easier for other people.

Yes it would be nice to add to the spreadsheet where we are from and where we live in Canada
This is a good idea. If you give me a bit of time I will set it up. I am Canadian, my wife is Thai and we live in Saskatoon. I will try to do it tonight.

@Rusty, could you please add a column for interviews AIP?

@Robotic, I am Also in Mississauga too and I am bored because I am home everyday. I wish the Canadian immigration system were like the US where u get a work permit as soon as you submit your application. Wow! This forum has become addictive as Facebook and bbm. I spend more time here networking
