Hi Everyone!

I got AIP almost 2 weeks ago and nothing about my OWP, We sent all together with the application, I called them and they sent a message to Vegreville, but still nothing, they said this could take 1 - 3 months :( that seems very sad because I was wanting this so much! I want to help my husband, is really difficult to live with just only 1 income for the last 2 years... Any similar situation here?

Thanks in advance!

I got AIP and OWP together on the same day. Did you check with CIC that they saw that u hv applied for OWP in ur application? maybe they missed that part.

Hey if I submitted my app end of November, will I be able to check on it's status on the CIC website?

Also, I submitted copies of the medical receipts as the Inland app directions say proof of medical exam (nothing about originals or copies). Will they stall my app to await the originals?

Cheers!

*And stay positive all!

Yes, I called them and the agent said that showed nothing about OWP in the system and sent a message to Vegreville, called again this week and said that a note was sent to Vegreville but nothing is issued :( This is really sad, I was thinking both came at the same time. The agent this week told me that could take up to 3 months, which is the same if I apply now again :-\ (but I won't ). I sent with my application and marked in the front to open just when AIP was granted.

for my case, i just sent receipt (copy, not original) to CIC... the results of medical check up was sent by the clinic.. so dun bother.. I got AIP after all these.

Okay cool. Thanks ichbinella!

Hi guys just a question I'm seeing a lot of talk about police checks, my husband is the applicant. The police check we did was from the York region police, were we suppose have one done from his home country?

Sounds good! But it seems that doctors are still using the
Old method. I called to several and they all
give only receipts but nothing else.

I just had my Meds done yesterday and i did get a form with my personal informations on it, with my picture. (they asked 4 pic) and it's also has a red Barcode on it. That must be it , because back in march i only got a receipt and a certificate. This time i got this paper as well.
I hope they gonna process the meds faster this way because my old Meds expire feb 1. and i don't want this to delay my case.
The holiday season is not the best for us ,because most of the doctors take two week off, same as mine.
They only send the meds away in january, when they back to work and they get the results for the blood and urine tests.

i think so.. cos they require u to provide Police Cert for any place the applicant has lived in for >6 months. I am the applicant and i did arrange one in my home country

Thank you for the information. Yes I am from Ontario so it is impossible to get Health-card on AOR ,but will try once I receive AIP hopefully in April.

You can get come coverage but only through a community health centre.....I get to visit the doctor and nurse practitioner free of charge through a centre called West Hill Community Centre........you should check them out. If your partner has private insurance se if you can get on it as well for dental, etc.

He already wrote us a letter stating that we did live together there for a year as we moved to a different address......I was thinking maybe I can show the transferring of rent from one acct to the next as we have 2 accts. Or maybe give them a print out of my bank statements showing we did pay rent out of our joint acct......which option do you think is best?

ya i did the print out as well and it was good i got aip

indeed i submitted most of my evidence in the form of print-outs...

i printed out every piece of evidence cos I got a letter from CIC after 7 months I submitted my application... saying they cant process my application cos i dun provide enough proof of my relationship and marriage....

i was so scared and alert that i printed out everything i had... (including facebook photos/ check-in etc.. sounds silly but at least i got AIP after submitting tons of papers to CIC)
