I have great news! I just called CIC, and they told me they have good news for me. Our first stage was approved yesterday, and they have sent me the letter and OWP in mail! I am SOOOOO Happpy!!!

Thanks for all your support guys, and best of luck to every one of you... you'll be receiving good news in no time!

I just applied for OHIP with no problems.
The coverage starts in 3 month from AIP date. (mine Jan 2.)
(I had the AIP letter , G licence ,foreign passport)

Info about OHIP:
This two link is the OHIP application form and the evidence that we (people who got AIP) can apply for health card.
If you have the second printed , they can't turn you down. (List 1/last apply to us)

Our application was received June 14, based on canada post tracking, but i still havent gotten any confirmation email or mail. Is there any way we can check that CIC has really received our application and that it is in line to be processed??

Hi,ours was received on June 7 and it was based also on canada post tracking. Just this week i tried to check the ecas using my Client ID and it says they received our application on June 7.

My file is in varification....she said it may take longer then normal. I sent all docs along...

Great to see so many positive posts. Does anyone know how long it takes for medical results to reach CIC? I have heard anywhere from 2 weeks to 90 days? Which one of these would be the norm? It has only been three weeks since I had my medical - so not stressing but just wondering if anyone has any input?

Oh Cám ơn meowmeow. I am actually living in regina Saskatchewan right now. If the decision is th move to Vancouver it will be after the new year and I will go to school for computer science maybe and start a medicinal and gourmet mushroom farm. Maybe grow some shiitakes portobellos, king and pink oyster, chaga, reshi, and cortiseps. I will deffinitly let u know if I move there and we can celebrate the PR.

How bout u. Are u finnished school now? R u looking for a job in computer science feild? Are u a programmer?

I'm thinking I want to maybe get into the programming aspect of electrical engineering or maybe become a software designer. I can't decide

We r again in the same boat, i did my daughters medical on 3rd oct and they gave me tracking number as well according to which it reached ottawa on 9th october.I hav heard they take 3-4 days to report vegreville office but my ecas doesnt show anything yet.

hi, i think about a month, i sent my proof of medical aug 31st, called cic yesterday to ask if they received the result already, and the agent said yes.
