I called cic today
and they are still reviewing my OWP
When my wife called the other day, the agent told her OWP mail was sent.
So...the other agent lied???

omg i have the very same issue!

Filed for owp on sept6th. Rep advised that they sent an email onOct 15th but we didnt receive anything. The processing times show sept28th but app was done online sept 6th.

Lol the rep said it maybe a technical issue and gave us an email address to direct questions to. we will call againfor another update this week.

Can you update me to AIP and DM Oct 31. ecas shows it although my husband still did not receive the email. Waiting for London office to contact us.

Do they still process OWP if AIP and DM same time?

I have the timesheet updated. Thanks for your feedback. That is a good question about OWP processing and getting DM/AIP same time. I think they will still process it regardless. The only time they may not process it is if you landed before OWP processing was started.

@Nigea, I applied for an OWP with my PR application. I got my AIP and DM on 28th Oct. Today, I received my OWP. I guess you will receive yours around this Thursday.

So here I am waiting for AIP and today got email requesting for more informations after 11 months of waiting! God save my soul, so I have to resend my marriage cert which I am 150% sure I sent in with my application but who am I to argue with CIC. More waiting time for me I guess, God please save me from the hands of CIC!

sorry to hear that they requested you the document you sent already...I am sure they must have lost your marriage certificate at some point and now request a new one from you...it is just frustrating...more time to wait for this process.

I just realized your application was received by CIC at the same day as mine and I am so nervous now ...I am hoping something good to arrive from CIC this week or so....finger crossed now...

Congrats on your OWP! Where do you live? I also got my AIP+OWP by email on 28Oct but I have not got it by mail today. One of my friend who lives in Burlington, Ontario also got the OWP today.

@ Deedeedar, Thank you. I live in Quebec city. My OWP was issued on 28th Oct and it was sent by snail mail as usual. The postmark on the envelope was 30th. I guess your OWP comes soon.

@nairaboy, sorry to hear that you have to send your marriage certificate again. As sunflora said, I think CIC have lost it. I hope that they give you AIP and DM as soon as they receive new one.

@ Jaimeirl, no problem. The online process is faster than by paper. But if your waiting for AIP you might as well send it by paper and save the wait!

Online is way quicker according to cic website,they say 26 days which would be awesome.

I just had a few small questions about the online application and was wondering has anyone much experience with doing it?

Are you referring to the owp application? I have done mine online a few times, you basically have to give some personal info and just upload a few documents and pay the fees. It is very straight forward.

I don't want to get your hopes up *too* much, but they requested a copy of my passport (which was included with the application) after 10 months of waiting. After they received that, I received both AIP and DM. Good luck!

Nairaboy I'm so sorry to hear that! You've been such an encouragement to my husband and I, I've been checkin here specifically to see your updates as our timelines are so close. I know God has greater plans that CIC will move in the direction he has for you. Continue to have faith!

Did you have an email about OWP seperately?
According to cic, "your work permit has been approved." means cic opened my OWP application.
I searched dictionary for the definition of "approve".
Cic made a new English word.

Have my OWP in hand now, but apparently I have to get a SIN now before I can work. The hoops we have to jump through!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GAH!

Can I use my temporary tax number in place of my SIN?
