May i ask what documents do you need to bring to the embassy to apply for the travel document?

You need to download the form, fill it, append 2 passport photos, confirmation of permanent residence, the fees for the application. That's all that was required of me to bring to the embassy.

@screech I went to the consulate first and they said I had to go to the embassy and apply in person. But your country might be different.

Hey guys just have a question, as anyone with out AIP have file transfer to Vancouver BC b4 AIP and not transfer to ur local off, is this an issue or what. I was just talking an immigration office who says my file is in Vancouver office! Anybody with the same issue?

Strange that you submitted your Passport Photos for your travel document. I was checking out the photo requirements for travel document to see if it's passport photos or PR photos. It appears that it doesn’t match the Permanent Resident Photo requirement, nor the Passport Photo Requirement either.

Travel Document Photo: 35mm x 45mm size, Head Size: 31-36mm

Passport Photo: 50mm x 70mm size, Head Size: 31mm – 36mm

Permanent Resident Photo: 35mm x 45mm size, Head Size: 35-30mm

So it appears that there are 3 different photo sizes used in dealing with Canada Immigration.

It's been 10 months since AIP and yesterday I received an email from CIC CPCV Email communication - Permanent resident Application...The email says please see attached, but there is no document attached.

I called CIC this morning, but the agent said that I have to clear cookies, etc.

My question is, when you receive notification of DM, does it come in an attached document?

I checked CIC online, but the stays still says in process.

I always get more info from you guys than the agents.....If anyone have any idea what that could be, please share with me !

When you get DM in email, the only thing attached is a pdf letter of DM letter.

So that could be the DM notification then.

They guy said I have to send an email to the technical department, but it's not that I cannot open the attached document, there is NO document attached to the e-mail. I find it weird.

I will have to email this tech department.

You don't need to apply for OWP from Romania. You can submit your OWP with your application so that when you get AIP, you will get OWP. You can apply for OWP anytime, just that they won't process it until you get AIP first.

If you don't mind, could you give a specific day in april that CIC got your application. My timesheet calculates days based on dates. Did you submit your police and medical in with your application? What's your country or origin and what city you are in now? Ottawa?
