I am from Grenada. we are living Ottawa.

Do you think i should go ahead and send in a application for open work permit or just wait untill we the AIP letter.
THEY ARE TAKING SOOOOO LONG!!!! UHHH

@ un_duno. well. i didnt get the AIP letter . my husband got the letter saying that they've received our application.

so we only have that unique client ID number that they initially issue.

My question was; iv noticed that other people on this forum sent in their application and sent their application for work permit after the application but before the AIP letter.

I want to do the same but wanted you guys opinion.

You can send your work permit application at any stage of the process. I sent mine in over two months after we sent in the sponsorship application

Landing day after tomorrow (5th June, 2013) at Montreal...Thanks to God..... received DM on 10th May, 2013...yaaaaaay...pretty excited and nervous...let's hope everything goes well till the end under God's will..... ....just received a letter from Montreal office for the appointment......will try to apply for SIN at the Service Canada right after that....

We have almost the same time line (haven't figured out how to do mine )
But CIC recieved my apication on October 25.
So we are waiting together. I also see you're Jamaican?

Congrats radio777 on your landing june 5th. Could you provide your timeline so that I can add you to timesheet along with country of origin and place of city where you are living now?
