I can`t understand....why I can`t work with children in Canada but...I have no choise for now....I`m looking for another job. I must wait my PR Cart if I want to work like a teacher again...

Who got second DM? Bibace was the first. Who's the second? If you are refering to Django_o. He got DM april 2nd. Not today april 11th. But any extra DM regardless of of time is good.

My timeline is as follows:

We received your application for permanent residence on August 10, 2012.

We started processing your application on February 8, 2013.(2nd stage i believe)

Medical results have been received.( I sent in medicals and police clearance/check along with my app.)

A decision has been made on your application(Decision made on April 2, 2013). The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Visa office for landing interview: Saskatoon

The reason OWP doesn't allow people to work in jobs involving children is that background / criminal check are in process. So until your background and criminal record checks out, you cannot work with children at least with employers that want certification first.

CIC vegreville sends all notifications by email only including DMs.

You can work after you get your AIP by applying for OWP. If not, you wait until you get your PR.

I received an email with the DM letter attached. And i also saw DM on my ecas a few days later

Here is the situation, just want to hear your thoughts, guys:
I am on student permit (good till June 2013) and I am doing my Co-op Work Term this semester which is part of my study. I have Co-Op work Permit as well (till June 213 as well). I can`t work with this WP without the University permission. My employer wants to hire me permanentley which is great opportunity for me! But the co-op program is over in the end of April.
I have applied for OWP 3 weeks ago and I am afraid it won`t come before the end of the months. Do you think implied status is suitable for me then? can I stay and work?

I called CIC about receiving physical letters when I had an issue with applying for OHIP coverage. I called them to get them to send us paper mail. They replied saying they only send email notifications except for residents of quebec. As to when they started this I can't tell you. I was told at Ontario Service that applications used to give options of paper mail or email. I told them that I had no option to choose. Thus email is the default.

Local CIC office send paper snail mail once DM is reached and sent to local CICs.

Congratulations to everyone with AIP and DM!!!!!!
I`m here, too....waiting.... but my case is more complicated because my son is in Europe. He is 19 years old and my husband doesn`t sponsoring him but....
I have a question for you. I had been an elementary teacher in my country, before to came to Canada and my OWP says that I`m not authorized to work in 1/child care, 2/primary and secondary school teaching, 3/health services field occupation.
Do you have any limitations in your OWP related to your profession?

Hi Divas what's your timeline? Is your son non-accompanying? Has he done medicals?

Implied status is not good enought. I suspects you must get OWP before getting hired directly to University. However don't know how the student work permit would work as you are no longer a student after you finish school. Thus I think you still need OWP before getting hired.
