Is there any Filipino here? Coz I submitted my Police Certificate last Oct. 30.. And in the mail that I just received they requesting for a police certificate again they said that "the blue you submitted is not a Police Certificate which is green".. I dont know what that is, I took it at the Philippine Consulate in Vancouver and that was what they sent me.. Anyone here knows? any reply would be much appreciated.. thanks guys!

hello kabayan, congrats on your AIP! i think they are looking for your NBI clearance. I applied a renewal in Philippines, I sent my expired copy of NBI together with my recent picture to my mother back home. I enclosed a letter authorizing my mother to apply for me and state that I need a new NBI for immigration purposes, and that I was not able to apply personally because I can't leave canada during that time. I never went to any philippine consulate. Regarding finger prints, I think you can have your finger prints at the consulate if you're near, if not, i think you can have it at your local police station.

Really??? Cant believe this!! ;D ;D Im so happy ;D ;D ;D Is it really is? eventhough my husband didnt received any?? coz what I saw on others post the sponsor is the one who usually received the AIP..

He will probably get something later.

I got mine one day and my husband got his the next day.

Medicals Requested Dec. 5, 2012. Now I have done medicals already last dec. 10, and i don't have an idea if CIC received it yet or not because i haven't seen anything from my ecas? help, anyone?

Hello,Kabayan! glad to see another kababayan in this forum! congrats on your AIP! they are right,get a blue form from the consulate first then fill it up,go to the police station for your finger prints sent it to the phils.ask any of your family members to do it.don't forget to make an authorization letter. From my experience,since i'm from mindanao the regional nbi doesn't issue the NBI so i asked someone again in manila to do it for me.it takes 2 weeks Kaya pinalakad ko,nagbayad yong friend ko ng 2k para makuha in an hour. alam m naman satin. tagalog ko kasi kakahiya ang katotohanan. goodluck!

We applied in june 7 too,got an AIP on Nov.29 yet until now ecas still in process..does'nt show about my medicals. I don't want to worry myself bcoz sometimes ecas isn't reliable.

What does "file transferred" mean?

I know we got a call from the consulate in Seattle yesterday to confirm some details about my husband's non-accompanying son; his medical done, etc. (it already was).

Does that mean the file has been transferred to them?

I read somewhere on this forum that the medicals are one of the last things done - is that true, or just a rumour?

What DO they do during the second stage?

Hi, I see a lot of people in 2012 are getting their AIP. Wonder why I haven't had mine yet. We sent in application Feb 2012 and got a letter in Sept 2012 to update the generic form with my kids' info, needing more docs to prove that our relationship is genuine, a copy of my pp, police clearance from my country and continuing and another letter asking me to do medicals. I did all of these and sent all by Oct 24th and my medicals are in the system already. Also my non-accompanying dependents did their medicals since November but I have not heard from cic. Even first stage approval hasn't been sent. Is it normal? BTW I ordered foss notes so I am still waiting. Anybody with a similar problem?

I hv similar timeline *almost the same!
Sent application in Feb 2012, got letter for additional proof of relationship, police clearance etc. (but i dun hv kids), and sent them all they need in mid Nov, but I got AIP on 6 Dec and OWP...

I did call CIC a week after i sent my documents, they confirm they hv just received it but then i got AIP the next day dunno if this is the trick~

Normally it takes 2-3 months for e-cas to update and show medicals received. The medical results are stored in a different computer system and manually entered into the main CIC system (GCMS) which is why there is a delay.

I was thinking of paying it online now to maybe speed things up?

Thank you so much Ichbinella. Could it be my kids medicals causing the delay? Well as you earlier gave me the procedure to apply for the FOSS notes, I did and waiting but will nonetheless call CIC next week. The two envelopes I sent were signed for by Christine Michaels and Sal Anwei( can't remember this very well). Congrats to you all. I am still positive.
