1.Can i order FOSS notes after AIP? And how to order that?

2. will it tell me the status of my like Medical or backgroud check?

thx

Hi abc3896,

1. you can order Foss notes at any time. It does not depend on the result of your application (so you can do order the notes before AIP, as we did :))

You can request it via mail or fax. Fax number is 780 603 2693.

We sent our request to this address:

Access to Information and Privacy Division
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Narono Building
360 Laurier Avenue West, 10th floor
Ottawa, Ontario
K1A 1L1

The department processing FOSS notes request (CIC ATIP) has a toll free number. You may call them at 1-800-667-6703 from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Also you can find some useful information on CIC website:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/index.asp
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/completed.asp

2. It will tell you if your medical results was received by Vegreville and what a result of your medical check (it is a code).
Also you can find in Foss notes when background check was requested by CIC agent and when it was ended (if it really was)

I have news !!!!!!!

called CIC , they told me , next step is , decison letter from local office and an interview ....is this the end ??? have my security checks finished ???

OMG eyeoftheocean, this is it! Congrats dear. Remember it takes a couple of days for "decision made" to actually show up in e-Cas.
I would call again in a couple of days to confirm if it still hasn't showed on e-Cas by then. Cheer up though, this is it! Yay! :D

**Edit: Oh I am sorry. Those agents don't know much. ::) Still be here wishing you tons of luck.**

Congrats CrazyLucy, it won't be long anymore. :)

ty ty

I'm hoping for smooth sailing from now on.

if that is confirmed (that they started processing your application in june 2011) then they had definitely forgotten your application in a pile....but did you try to log in in ecas? usually from there it shoud say when it really started processing. i sent my application in july 2010 and the started processing it mid september 2010. all the applicants from the same period of mine had their application processed in september and the ones that sent it in august had their appl processed in october. call centre agents use the excuse of the timeline of the website not to give you too much info and basically pass to another call. all times of processing seem pretty inflated on their webiste anyway....now they open applications even earlier than 2 moths aftert they received it. i saw some posts of people that send the application in april 2011 and it started processing mid may.....not even 1 month....check your ecas

I couldn't log into ecas until June and it just confirms what I've said, although when I talked to an agent, they said they sent some form to be filled out in March, but I never got it. I had to ask them to resend it. Gotta love bureaucracy.

YEAH THEY DON'T much. I called them (twice in the last 15 days) and all that they told was quote" we are just waiting for somebody to put your file together and landing you".

I would like to know when!!! >:(

Sorry I'm just frustated. We got AIP since april. I submitted my police clearance third week of May, and still no comuncation or updates on e-cass.

Hopefully soon.

p.s. Good luck Eyesoftheocean. We are in the same boat :'(

No, your case doesn't have to be complicated for it to take a long time in the second stage. Sometimes it is just the local office, the backlog, the IO you get, your personal situation, background check wait times, and request for documents that make the second stage longer. And it has only been recently that they are finishing people for first stage and stage together so maybe that is why it appears odd to others but trust me, just last year and all before, it was uncommon.

Did Latvian, Jennifer or Zubee call for news? They should get processed about now. It'd be so frustrating that in the last 2 weeks there'd suddenly be a major delay...

Thankyou, and good luck to you too, lets hope we are finalized soon .

Quick question. Once you get AIP, do you have to keep extending visitor visas?
