Hi Asta and gigi1612

I have notices sth on CIC website, Asta's application was under Family and you are done with in a year, Correct me if I am wrong. while the website shows 9-10 months for the first step and 9 months for the second step. 18 months in total.

Under protect person the first step is 5-6 months (in my time it was 7-8 months) and the second step is 11 months.

Now I am confused, what is going on?

Correct me

From what i see in this forum most family class inland applications receive a full PR between 11 and 14 months. so i don't know why on the website they put a total of 18 months...maybe because they don't want people to call them more often and to expect anything sooner. also there is the option that people on this forum are luckier than average ;D

My husband sent my application to Vergervill in April 2008. They reviewed it and sent it to our local calgary office in June 2009. I just heard from Calgary office to do my medical and they had received it. I had received my work permit last month and it's say on the work permit that my PR is initially approved. I am just wondering what is next and how long I'll have to wait more. It's been more than 3 years since they have received my application.

if u received work permit, it means u were granted AIP - approval in principle. in ur place i would call the local office and ask about the case, lile how long to wait, since it taking so long. ater AIP they are doing background checks, it depends what country u are from and ho wmany countries u lived in longer than 6 months.
did u have an interview since ur file was transfered to local office?

Hello My Fellow Inlanders,

My ecas status was updated yesterday. The Client application status shows the Permanent Resident Application Status as "Decision Made" and the Details page shows the below:

We received your application for permanent residence on June 23, 2010.

We started processing your application on September 2, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We sent you a letter on April 14, 2011 to <your address> about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

We contacted the call center and they told us that the kitchener office will contact us within 4 weeks for the landing interview.

Good Luck to the rest of you waiting on AIP or PR approval. I will continue to remain on this forum to motivate other folks waiting on approvals....

Es hora del brunch, si me dicen como se hacen tal vez sorprenda a mi hubby. :P

Hello everyone!
After 15 months of stopping by regularly I figured I might as well sign up and introduce myself. Inland application received January 4 2010, OWP issued, just waiting. It's my second winter in Canada, I'm honestly not too keen on spending a third here, meaning I would love to be able to leave the country. Oh, yeah, and get (acknowledged) education so I don't have to work survival jobs anymore. But other than that, I'm in a happy relationship and can't wait to start my "real new" Canadian live!

Cheers to everyone!
