I definitely agree that it will most likely be around the 3 month mark after your app was received that you can check e-Cas. Mine has been at Vegreville for about 2 1/2 months now and still can't log in. Hopefully soon but I won't be expecting it until after the 3 month mark.

Only a couple of weeks to go now. :)
I will probably print it off and put it on my wall for prosperity. Lol.

Also, instead of checking e-Cas everyday, you could sign up for the e-Cas tracker and it will check everyday with your client id# to see if you can log in yet. Once you can, it will alert you when it begins to work. I have signed up for this and haven't received an email yet. I hear the tracker is very reliable so you may want to give it a try.

You guys don't put too much faith in the ECAS. In some cases they update it and in some they don't. We withdrew our inland app over a month ago and it still stays in progress. So don't stress if it doesn't get updated, but I remember ours was about at 3 months that it updated to in progress.

Well the e-Cas for inland applications don't seem to get updated often. I think mostly because outland they have to do so many steps in a shorter time. That may not be true but this what I think. And I don't think it is so much about wanting updates all the time (which would still be nice) but more of just wanting acknowledgment it is there and they are working on it. Thank you for sharing your input though and how long it took for you. We appreciate it.

So how is your outland application going? Are you residing in Canada during the wait?

Thanks for all the tips and pointers...now it is just time to be patient and wait it out. This is going to be a long nine month wait (but well worth it)! Glad we are all on here to support each other.

You are welcome Teriskier. Glad you found your way over to this thread.
I hope you enjoy it. We can stick through this together.

I was thinking my next post would be to write about things to do during the wait. Like hobbies, etc.
What do you think?

Hey Mexatica...haven't seen you around for a couple days..are you out there celebrating your AIP? 8)
I hope so!!

i am wondering why CIC is not updating their website.?? any guesses :-\

Heyyyyyyy ;D Thats the best news I've heard alll day! Wooohooo! srcc you gott be on cloud 9 right now!

Having the applications of January being processed make me realize how fast the time is running, January/2010 was when I found out about this forum and started following the posts closely and now those same applications are/or almost being processed and hopefully done. :)
I used to look at the forum like, everyday, but I realized that it was killing me, it was making the time goes by too slow. So, now I check the forum once in a while.
Something that works too, is avoiding looking at the calendar all the time, and filling our spare time with good things for our mind. working out, reading a nice book, volunteering, stuff that when we are able to work we won't do for lack of time, these kind of things are good for our social life too.
Anyways I am really happy to know that CIC people are doing their job, slowly but at least they are. haha
Can't wait to see MAY 21 2010, on their website. :D
luck to y'all !

Just to share:

Application received by Veg: MAY 21 2010
Application Started ..: AUGUST 4 2010
e-cas status as of now: IN PROCESS

hey guys, how many of u have sent additional proof after sending ur application? i counting 2 people. was there more?
also, did u write some additional info on the envelope? like "additional proof" or ur client ID etc?

i was asking about this matter months ago in summer but nobody helped me. i wanted to send additional info and stuff i forgot to put with app. but was afraid since nobody sending additional proof.

im not worried about app being delayed, more worried if it wont look suspicious to send additional proof. im getting paranoid about this.

if i get interview and worse ill be blaming myself forever not sending additional proof :-X

btw cant believe they jumped into 2010. that november month was like forever..
