Come on 2011 applicant's you should join this thread.
Remember you are joining a part of a family so feel comfortable to also talk about things other than immigration.
After all, who always wants to talk about it for 9-10 months. I hope this thread gets more people in it soon.
But it is just April so I am sure by mid year you will definitely see them piling in. Good luck 2011 applicants! Keep your heads up.

I am so happy to say that my file is already in process!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It only took 20 days to open it. I know this is nothing but I am glad to see some movement. Now for the long wait ahead.


Where are my inland peeps at? I know it is a little early to keep this thread alive but we must stick together.

That's amazing angtao. It is unheard of for CIC Vegreville to open and start processing a file before two months. Maybe something is really changing there...
could you log in on ecas or you called the call centre?

So, you got your ecas by receipt nbr or client ID????

I signed up for e-cas after we sent our application and I have not received an e-mail from them yet. Forget e-cas. I also did not call the call centre.

My husband has his visitor extension thing and I used the client id number from that. I didn't even know that the client id number on that extension is the same client id number that is used for permanent residency. I found out from Love Young on the Inland 2010 thread. I entered my husbands client id number on the cic website where it says check my application status for the first time today just for fun and BAM, I see that it is in process. This was me



We received your application for permanent residence on March 31, 2011.

We started processing your application on April 19, 2011.



I was stoked.

The same happened to me. After we sent the app I found that the client ID nbr will be the same from the visitor visa extension.

I've checked with client ID and receipt on CIC and nothing yet. I guess your IO is more effective than ours.

Anyway, is good to know that they 're moving. Today is you, maybe tomorrow or the next day will be us...

Actually without realizing you used e-cas ( e cas means "client application status" on the Cic website). you just thought that e-cas was the website created by matthewnc. actually he uses the same program as Cic. he just logs in continuosusly with your data and your permission in the CIC website every couple of hours i think (it's done automatically by a program)

anyway thats very good news!

I know, but is a good feeling at least to know that somebody opened that cherished box...

Long wait for sure, but spring is almost here... summer around the corner... my eldest baby is getting married in August...
Oh well! we'll stick together and will enjoy each others advancement and good news...
