Wow guys! I am really sorry that it has been taken this long. That's absolutely horrible! Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

Can I ask, why has it taken this incredible long? Complicated cases or just pure unlucky?

Zion has a failed refugee claim and a conditional discharge.
They are both likely working against him.

The conditional discharge isn't a conviction, but it is an arrest and a verdict of guilt, but supposedly is without punishment provided the "conditions" are met.

Yes,botjh those things are working against me. But I have passed csis check twice. My file was transferred to montreal from vegreville in oct 2012. According to my case notes the transfer was due to admissibility issues and identity issues. In feb 2015 the agent handling my file wrote that there were no identity or admissibility issues and that the file was ok to continue. Then all of a sudden file was transferred to the backlog office,. The reason being "work overload".Why would u transfer a file that has been with u for 4 years to the backlog office, transfer the new one's doesnt make any sence

Been 4 years and 3 months since I applied for inland sponsorship. Been in background checks for 3 years and 5 months. I have decided to go to court for issuance of mandamus. Will be sending the 30 day notice this wednesday!. Wish me luck people.

After 4 years and 6 months of waiting, i finally got a call from my lawyer saying that my file was finalized and that I need to pay the $490 residence fee. Sooooooooo relieved!!
