It's been 7 months since I got my AIP, and still no news from CIC-V. I am extremely happy I got my AIP and am able to work, but I wish this process would be over by now... :-[

DID u order ur FOSS notes? or call CIC to get some updates? currently they r saying average time for stage 2 is 8 months... hope urs is on its way though, but i guess calling them wont be a bad idea~

For me it's been over 8months after AIP, I did my medical in September 2011 and now they requested for an extension from their medical department at cic-v. So I ordered my foss notes and it states that they put a being forward date January 31,2013. Which means that they'll open the file on that date to see if the extension is successful. Hopefully it is cuz I don't wanna have to wait any longer.

can i ask a silly question - where did you find the BF date on your notes? the only dates i can see are from November last on mine when my medicals were checked.

Same here...

I am waiting for the 8 months period to be over so I can contact the MP and see where it goes from there.
I got my foss notes a while ago but nothing there was new to me...

This is outrageous!
You did everything right but because of their own "slo-mo" work process you need to bother again and pay an additional $200!
They are finishing up applications from mid 2012 but the ones that are waiting for almost a year and a half are forsaken...
Nothing make sense any more...

I have a piece of information to share for people who are waiting for the second stage approval.

I applied in August 2011 and got my AIP in June 2012.

I initially did my medical exam in July 2011 before I sent my application, and my medical was shown on e-cas right after AIP.

However, I received an email a few weeks ago in December 2012 saying that I have to re-do my exam to get my final approval.

So even if your medical exam is shown as received on e-cas, they might ask you to re-do it if it has been more than 1 year since you conducted it, and if you're waiting for the second stage approval.

it seems there are a lot of applicants from Mid 2011 still on the line waiting.. .................... really dunno what they r doing, how come they keep opening new envelopes but not processing the unfinished ones????

It's been over 2 weeks since me and my husbands interview with CIC and we still haven't gotten a letter yet. Today the IO will come back from vacation and will see the letter we faxed in asking for a 30 day extension to provide more evidence. I'm kind of hoping that she hasn't made a decision but at the same time I just want his over and done with. This wait has been awful for us... Every day is like a new interview. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

Not sure I follow you 100%, but in any case most of the time the only questions being asked usually at the landing interview are : do you have any dependencies back in your country, do you have commit any crime since you are in Canada and it is pretty much it. If you have been asked to leave the country at some point in the past it should already be in their system why would you be asked such a question ?
