Nope....ur not the only one...I got AOR on nov14th 2011....AIP was issued sep 5th 2012.......i received a letter on 17th oct stating that my file was transferred to the local office.......ordered case notes and apparently I have identity issues and admissibility issues.......they believe im not who I say I am.....No correspondence since then.....from what I hear my second stage might take longer than the regular 8 months.....always good to know someone's worse off eh..... ........hope you hear something soon

It's nice to know that you are from Philippines too. just curious since you mentioned that u have a daughter in the phils. how old is she and is she accompanying? i have a 9 yr. old daughter too but she's not accompanying.Do they still have to do the background check to her? just wondering coz according to the letter manila office will contact her.. at least i'll have an idea what's gonna happen.. i submitted her medicals along with the application.Got the AIP on Nov. 29. nice to meet you here.

ji carol! smy daughter is 10 yo and shes accompanying as my dependant, theyre doing the background check for me and for her i think. and thast what cic told me they will just forward an instruction to her custody and still waiting , keep me posted and its nice to meet u here as well! merry christmas !

No, I haven't. The last time I called the CIC, they weren't waiting on me for anything, and I just got my open work permit (I applied after AIP) so there don't seem to be any problems.

Hello everyone,

I have a piece of information to share for people who are waiting for the second stage approval.

I applied in August 2011 and got my AIP in June 2012.

I initially did my medical exam in July 2011 before I sent my application, and my medical was shown on e-cas right after AIP.

However, I received an email a few weeks ago in December 2012 saying that I have to re-do my exam to get my final approval.

So even if your medical exam is shown as received on e-cas, they might ask you to re-do it if it has been more than 1 year since you conducted it, and if you're waiting for the second stage approval.

thank you for the reminder! I did my medical exam 8 months (by mistake indeed) after i sent in my application becos i didnt realise I need to do it. Just hope my medical exam would stay valid until they approved my stage 2.

AFTER AIP, it should take around 3 months, as said by others in this forum

I applied OWP on Septembre right after AIP, and received on end of november.
I applied through internet.
