hi, i may not be able to answer your question but just to share what i did. I paid my ROPF online last night, 2 weeks after I got my DM. I printed the receipt, now i am waiting for a letter from montreal. Hopefully it will arrive soon.

A quick question, I have spent the fortune in delivering my baby without OHIP, I was just wondering if there's any way I can get reimburse of those expenses once I get my OHIP?
I would really appreciate if Computergeek or anyone could share their thoughts on this?

did you have your baby after you received AIP or before that? i'm guessing but not sure if you had your baby after AIP you might be in title of getting some money back. the ohip starts 3 month after the date of your AIP. hope you get something back so you can spend it on your baby. baby stuff isn't cheap!

Ecas says In Process on mine and DM on my hubbys.............so who knows !!
We will get there eventually. I called a couple of weeks back and she said they were waiting for my background checks to be updated in the system and call in Jan.
So I will just wait it out. I have my OWP and temp SIN, so will concentrate on work

Thanks kitchener_inland, I conceived my baby in July 2011 and my husband filed my application on Dec 06 which means I was already 5 months pregnant when my application was submitted. My baby was born in March 2012 whereas I got my AIP in Sept 2012. but I have learned somewhere in this forum that by showing ones marriage certificate the person become entitle for medical coverage during waiting period for PR. I just hope and pray if I would be fortunate enough even to get part in refund of what we have spent. It was close to $13000 by the way :'(

Yes, it's the ROPR fee.

I was wondering how people paid that fee if they were waived from the interview.. is there any case that they just shoot you all the paper without you meeting with anyone?

as far as I know you can pay it online, but people who had the landing interview could pay at the office when they go for the landing interview, that's what i'm doing, the letter I got says I can pay with visa/debit or cash in the immigration office or it says if you have paid bring the receipt. so i'm sure there are other options for paying if in any case the interview is waived but i'm not sure if they would send you all the needed paper work besides asking you to pay it by certain date.

Depending on the rules in ur province u may be able to get payed back since the date u entered on ur visitor visa or extension. When we applied they told us we are covered since the date on the visitor extension. Ask a supervisor.

2 months is not that bad, you might hear something soon, I waited little over 2 months after AIP too and I was pleasantly surprised it took just little over 2 months, because I know there are many people here who have been waiting much longer and some get it the same day as the AIP. just relax don't think about it too much and it'll show up soon!

ya i have been waitng to i sent in pcc and nothing just that it was tranfered back to processing office from etobicko oh well all we can do ia wait
