***I just read over the instruction guide and it says when the medical certificate is required, they will mail me the forms and goto the designated practitioner to do the examination.

I was advised to do the medical examination in advance and submit together with my application to avoid delays when they are pending the medical examination. However, I cannot seem to find the forms that I need to bring to the practitioner. Those that got the medical examination done in advance, where did you find the forms to be completed by the practitioner?

Form IMM 1017 SCL (05-2004) E... however, if I was you I would call the practitioner, cause our practitioner gave us all the forms needed... bring the 1017 form, the doctor send the form directly to CIC, and he had a person who was taking the pictures... so call him ;-)

hello guys,
i've noticed that were becoming bigger already!!exciting and glad that we are all updated through this thread..one quick question is that
1. i've sent my application for open work permit together with my pr application and i can logged in into my ecas already as it says im iIN-PROCESS and they started already..my problem is that: im worrying coz i've sent my application for OWP "as is"without writing on the top of the paper the "not to be process until first stage approval"..what if they will process already my OWP application right away,and im still on a legal status here in canada and it will going to be expire on 2014..how's that?im so worried for now coz maybe they will process my OWP since i didn't put on the top the word"NO TO BE PROCESS UNTIL FIRST STAGE APPROVAL".anyone whose on the same boat pls do respond here and calling for anyone who knows about this pls clear up my mind plssssss...thank you

Tecle, was it received July 21 or July 22? You originally told us July 22. I just want to have the exact date. If it is July 21 then I am surprised that it is not in process yet.

Someone else has the same date as you and there's is in process from end of September. Very strange.

Hello ran... I looked at last year (Inlands 2010) applicants and some took them almost 4 months to CIC start "In-Process", I think is because summer holidays/vacations... you should not worry just call CIC everyday....

Thanks for the response. It will be quite time consuming to phone them everyday. They are unbelievable slow...

Hi guys, I received a letter yesterday asking for more information. My status on e-cas still shows that my apps was received only but I think this letter shows that they have started working on my apps. I hope this info helps on comforting those wonder why Cic hasn't updated my status. Cheers !

Well it is about time! I also noticed that the update DATE now says Oct.27 instead of Oct.26. So it looks like they now changed the update day to Thursdays. No more looking forward to Wednesdays anymore. Now it is Thursday.

Has anyone had any issues logging in using firefox? I cannot log in using that. I can only log in using internet explorer.

geran, the number is 1-888-242-2100. I am surprised that you don't know that number. I know it off the top of my head. LOL
