Hey everyone,

I have few good news to share with everyone after a long time.

1) I received the Aip today , now I am waiting for owp and/or final decision.

2) my case went to second stage and it says in progress and they have already asked for police clearance which I sent.

3) the biggest happiness of my life Is coming soon, we are expecting twins babies anytime next week.

What else I can wish for, I am so happy.

Hopefully good days will come soon for everyone.

Quick question if someone could help please? My husband completed all of hos medicals yesterday and all confirmed that the results should be received by the doctor for Tuesday this week which means by Wednesday the medicals should be sent to CPC. I would like to send copies to vegreville to prove medicals done, receipts and all - how can I do this the quickest? Is there a fax or email I can send this to?

Also for those that were in the same situation and had to redo medicals - how long did it take for them to add to your file?

Did you mail, email or fax the proof? Where and how can i send it? I was at the MPs office today discussing a differant topic but i mentioned the medicals and she said that it should be faxed but i forgot to ask for the number and now I cant find it anywhere

I sent my proof of medical by mail, the same address when I sent my application package, in vegreville.

No. Physical notes delay the process, but not electronic ones. They are processed by the ATIP office in Ottawa, not by the VO.

Hi, in the midst of filling up the paper application for OWP (extending your stay as a worker). However, there is no selection for Open Work Permits on this form. What should be the category that I should select for this since I do not have a job offer letter at the moment.

In the process of filling out application for Open Work Permit. Do I put it down as an application for "a new work permit with a new employer" or? In addition, it asks for the duration of expected employment, what should I put this down as since I have not even started my job search.

In addition, is there a need of sponsor letter for the proof of funds since my husband will be the one who is paying for my expenses here. Anyone knows if any of the banks allow for account opening here when you have a visitor status? The lady I met at RBC here is completely clueless!

Edit I took away what I wrote regarding our OWP filled form because I just realised we used the old form IMM 1249 replaced by îmm 5710 since July 2012 and don't want to confuse anyone.
Regarding bank account, it depends where you go I guess, here in Quebec I am with Desjardins and they did not want to open a bank account for my wife. On the other hand I had a bank account for years in USA and never lived there. How many people have bank account in Switzerland or any other countries. In our case it was not really important as without revenue having a bank account just to pay administration fee was useless...When she gets her first job we will go and open a bank account for her.

An update for people with Stage 1 DM and expired medicals.

CIC Vegreville acknowledged receiving my new medicals by November 4, 2012 after Ottawa got them on October 10th. Not too bad better than expected.

So now, the wait for Stage 2 DM.

Hi Anticipation,

Stupid question - how did you find out when Ottawa received your updated meds? I done my medical on Sept 21st and called CIC last week but they couldn;t see anything on my file as received, no update on Ecas as of today either! Starting to really worry!

I suggest you to call them tomorrow and if the first agent could not find it, Try one more time.
Though, the ECAS does not show your medical unless your case is finalized for DM.
