**quick question*
I applied to sponsor my husband in July 2011, he is able to see eCase progress using his id client (from previous immigration documents )and his last name but I cant access with my name I tried everything Citizenship card number etc;I must be doing something wrong.
any help????

well dont worry at all ,cic will update your ecas when are actually working on your file .......well use your client id on your PR card xxxx-xxxx

you may be lucky if they have actually started working because mine showed up around the 10 months period.

hey guys quick question.. when I took my medicals , they did not give me any proof or paper stating that i took the exams. so how am I supposed to know if they sent them to CIC? Sorry im getting alittle confused . Thank you guys

Lyrical,i guess you paid for your medicals and were issued with receipts. use those receipts as proof that you have done your medicals and attached copies to your applications or let the doctor issue letter that you have completed your medicals.....hope this helps u.

Lyrical, the doctor needs to sign a form... absolutely... however, the medical will reach CIC no matter what...

Are you the sponsor or the applicant? Either way I think it's too soon to tell maybe you give CIC a call and find out

I'm the applicant.

From the list is seems all other applications were "In Progress" within a month

That is true but as I learnt today there actually 2 parts one where they assess the sponsor (u r able to see progress after 10 to 11 months) and the one for PR that one should be in progress some time when they receive it.You can try to ask same question in inlanders 2010 as they are more experienced.

Don't worry Angus ,mine show up a after 5 months.....maybe they have back logs since they just came back from vacations so hopefully you will get the chance to use the Ecas and track your applications status.Are u using your client ID XXXX-XXXX. or you have to call CIC if they have received your application.good luck.

Angus, I wouldn't worry about that. What I would do is call CIC and ask them if your file is in process yet? It used to take 2-2.5 months so maybe it will show up on e-cas next week.


It is so weird that perk and xanthe sent there apps in mid July and there's went in process on Aug.4. Then we have abozzy and buima which sent there;s in on the same day and have 2 totally different in process dates. Your got there 1 day later and it is still not in process.

Dear inland applicants, I got some confusion about the new applicantion forms (used after July 18th) and the old ones)
1. Is there anyone who used the old forms after July 18th? Did you include the new IMM0008 in your package?
2. At the end of the new IMM0008, it asks for consent from applicant for sharing information related to education and work experience with prospective employer, what does it mean exactly? Does it mean CIC will put the information in a database which prospective employers can search through for eligible workers? Or does it mean after the applicant gets PR and starts looking for a job, the employer can use the information to do background check?

3. Did you choose "yes" or "no"?

4. Since I am thinking to setup my own business, can I choose "no"? Will a "no" answer cause CIC to suspect the truthfulness of the information provided and result a background check (and definitely result a longer wait)?
