Hi,
I am a newbie to this forum and i would like to get some information on key things. first of all I really like to tell you that you are doing a great job by guiding the people to correct path. And i personally appreciated it heartily.

Now talking about my profile, i have pursued my B.E. Computer Engg. from Govt. College in Gujarat with 76% in 2011. Since June 2011, i am working as a software engineer (Almost 3 years) in IT Company. Now i have planned to study further in CANADA. So basically i am looking for master Degree in IT/Computer related fields in universities. (No PG Diploma/No Certificate courses which are highly advertised by people around the world to just run their courses).I would like to start the course into the May/June Semester.

Educational Quallifications:
10th Exam (S.S.C) : 86%
12th Exam (H.S.C.): 82%
B.E. Computer Engg: 76%

My Main concern is worth the money spending as well as learning into the specialized field. As well as a long term goal need to settle down in Canada So could you please guide me how i will start proceeding things for knocking the universities.

I have just given my IELTS examination and result will declare on 31st Jan,2014.

I will really appreciate any help for the concern.

Thank you .

Do some research on net and then u will know... I advise u to see this site for universities and colleges...

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2010/2010-01-28.asp

Also i dont think any university has may intake.. u can only have sept intake for major courses in universities...

Good luck for all...

Hi Harsh,

I also have a somewhat similar profile as your's but want to pursue MBA, for that their are few colleges which have sessions starting from May.Not sure about Computer science batch. Regardin your question- "wheather it is worth or not" .I think their is always a risk in everthing , if you are in India you know how the teaching is(non practical) and it is just the certificate you get in the end which shows you as an engineer and you tend to spend huge amount here too whithout gaining much knowledge, so i would say spend some more and get a degree where you learn something. (it is totally a personal opinion :) )

To start with you should first decide on the subject ou want to specialise in and also the amount you want to invest, then search for the colleges which give you the specified courses within your budget(try to go for reputed one) , then see through their deadlines which is usually 5-6 months ahead of the session start date.So collect all the documents needed according to the university crieteria and apply. Also if you are interested in PR then you should google about the PNP(provencial Nominee) of all the province and then shortlist your university.

If you want to apply for this year May intake, then I would suggest you to first check the deadlines and if they have passed -then email the university asking them if you could still apply, if their answer is yes then it will be good for you as you will not have to wait for next year.

Hope this helps.

Ramneet
