Initial Processing time at NS, Sydney

Hello All,

I apologize for asking the question which I have seen a few times in this forum already. However, I am a bit confused as I am pretty new to the Canadian Immigration thing. Please help me!

I submitted the first set of documents to NS, Sydney on April 29, 2010 from Los Angeles, USA and the packet was delivered on May 7, 2010. However, I have not received any intimation or receipt from their side and I have not seen any withdrawals from the bank account. Please advise me on how much time it takes to get an acknowledgment or some kind of receipt that I can use to track the status of the application.

It will take about 45-90 days for CIC to response.
