You can bring them, but they won't ask for them. You showed or sent all those documents when you applied, so they've already seen them. Your CoPR is the thing that tells the border guard that all your documents were fine, and they wouldn't have sent it to you if they weren't already satisfied.

Bring photo ID too though (never hurts), and have an address ready to give them for them to send your PR Card - they won't mail it outside of Canada so you'll need to arrange a Canadian address of a friend or family member who you trust to send you your card once it arrives.

Hi again
When we land , do we need to bring the application for pr card or will we get that at the immigration office, in the airport.

CIC fills this out as part of the landing process - you don't actually do that one yourself.

Thank you..how long times does the landing takes? We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers)

I landed solo (no family) and it took about 15 minutes after I got through the lineup. I'd say a family would take longer, but probably not too crazy. The big variable is how busy they are when you happen to show up. Try not to land on a Friday night before a long weekend for example.

Hi everyone

I really need your help and advice on the below inquiry:

I have been granted PR under express entry last year in Nov 2015. I need to land in Toronto by latest 19 May 2016.
My sister and father are eager to accompany me and visit Canada as tourists for the first time and they thought why not travel together with me so i won't have to go all the way to Canada alone.

Please note they DO NOT have any intention to settle there. (Both have their permanent jobs in my residence country and they are well off (in terms of money).

Both have applied for tourist visa, infact it has been despatched to Pretoria today itself. My father included me as his daughter in his family information sheet and honestly stated that I will be accompanying him to Canada. However, no documents or details about me has been provided in his application. When i got to know about this today i got realy worried and i think their visa will be rejected since no information has been given about me. They will be staying in hotel (booking made for both of them) while i will be staying (sharing room ) with my friend already there.

Kindly advise if i should contact the visa office in Pretoria and inform them that I have my PR visa and send them documnts related to me?

Thanks!

Just so you know after landing you need to have your PR card if you want to travel. You will need to give a Canadian address to receive your PR card.

If you plan on leaving before receiving your PR card, you will need to apply for an eTA and a PRTD before coming back into canada.

Hi, we also have same case.We landed there for one
week last year.Confirmation of permanent residency document is mandatory to retain pr status.Make sure to apply for social insurance no by showing your confirmation of permanent residency document in original.Next time you have to travel Canada with travel document. They told us that to get pr card person should be present there till the processing of pr card
