Hi guys,

I worked for 10 months under noc 2174 in canada for one company than immediately switched over to another company and have already worked for them for two months.my job title is software developer but my initial 2 months were spent adjusting and learning about the organization and my future responsibilities will be a mixture of 2283 and 2174.

This matters because in ee the experience should be continous and under one noc right? What noc should i put in this case?

You are really one confused and unsatisfied person. Sad to see this.
What does your offer of contract says? 2174? If yes, then go with that. CIC is not interested to know what did you do in your training.
You might have spent time on facebook or played counter strike. CIC doesn't care. Just go with your contract.
p.s. please change your username or id and you will see some positive in your life.

hahaha only if i could change it ...the forum doesnt allow me to change it unfortunately...Anyways i am not unsatisfied bro i am very happy with my life....

Coming back to my question unfortunately my job offer/ contract letter doesnt mention my duties. Only my designation i.e. Software Developer, annual salary etc

Have some confidence in yourself. Go with what the offer letter says i.e What you were hired to do, which is what you applied for and interviewed for and was given a job with a title. Seems very basic

yes from the outside it does :)...but the thing is my offer letter doesnt say anything about my job description, its only the job title i.e. Software Developer. And secondly in my firm the boundary is very thin between tester and a developer...you might be a developer one month and tester another month based on teams requirement thats why the very basic things gets complicated....

Do they make changes to your contact every month?
Just go by the paperwork. If your company has not made any change to your offer of employment, or you have got a promotion and moved to a different role which also shows in your paperwork, you are good.
If you want to complicate things, please go ahead.
My friend was financial services rep 6235 worked for 11 months and switched to a different bank where he is financial services manager, 01something. He still got experience points and his e-AOR.
You are still safe. same company. no change in contract. you are set brah!
have fun.

Still very basic stuff, Then you go with Software developer as your letter says. In this case Software Developer is your primary job and title, but that does not mean you cannot do other things like testing, training, etc.

A quick search of what a software developer does

Reviewing current systems
Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
Working closely with analysts, designers and staff
Producing detailed specifications and writing the programme codes
Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live
Preparation of training manuals for users
Maintaining the systems once they are up and running

So what this tell me is that testing/tester is part of Software development. Could be that your company cant afford to have a full-time tester
