Hello everyone,

I am currently living in Canada on my third working holiday visa.

I sent my forms off last week for permanent residency under the common-law spouse class.

If I want to stay in Canada and work is it best that I apply for another working holiday visa once my current one expires (july 2015) while I wait for my response on peenament residency? Or can I extend the current visa that I am on?

Thank you!

Working holiday visas cannot be extended. If you want to continue working past the expiry of your current working holiday visa, then you either need to apply for a new one or your employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a closed work permit.

OK makes sense thank you! I own my own business and therefore work for my self. Am I legally able to stay in Canada without a visa while my application is being processed? I just can not work right?
