Aoa friends,
I am Pakistani national and 27 by age. i am working in Oilfield Sector in Saudi Arabia and got cumulative experience of above 3 years in this field. I check the details and i fall under the category for Petroleum engineers. I want to apply for Canadian immigration under skilled worker class.
I have few questions,
1. With my Engineering 4 years degree in Electrical , how much point i can get?, i assume i fall under the category as mentioned
..
Obtained a three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship (other than university) and completed at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies <---------------- 22 points
2. I have done Academic IELTS 19 months back with 6.5, so if i do General IELTS now, what i need to score in each module to get full 16 marks.
3. From which recognized institute in islamabad, i can do some basic french course to get 2 points.
4. Experience is inbetween 3 to 4 years <------------------ 19 Points
5. Age <------------ 10 Points
So right now my total points are
22 + 16( I assume i can get that much in IELTS) + 19 + 10 = 67 Points
Which are just the minimum requirement, is it safe to apply ? I dont have any employment offer from canada? nor any relatives over there?
6.I am thinking to do some basic french course from where i can get marks?
Financially i am quite sound and have good bank balance.
7.My other question is if you get immigration for Canada, what's the time span available for you to make your first visit to Canada?
8. Suppose if my wife have canadian nationality ( THough i am single right now) , how long i have to live in Canada to get Canadian Citizenship.
I will be looking forward for an advice from some experts, to gather some extra marks to apply and to be on safe side to apply for immigration...
Hope to get some details answer for these questions.
Regards
Jade
