Hi,

What is the process of obtaining the police clearance from India?
I am aware of that we would have to visit the Indian embassy in Toronto but what documents do we need?

That they will specify...To start with PP, WP/Visa, photo, along with their application form & fee will surely be required among other things.

Thanks. Are they open weekend only? A friend told that he went on Saturday but Google maps says they are closed on weekends

BLS is opened on Mon - Sat but CGI is opened only on weekday and preferred time is 9-10 AM so that you get it around 11 AM.

Nope, only CGI provides express/emergency service and only on week days 9 AM - 1 PM.

Important update: At CGI, when they dispatch your PCC it is from front counter. so if your names is missed then there is no way to get it. So if your PCC is taking long time then query front counter. The guys there must be sitting on it
