thanks xtc...+1 , btw i am m.com in accts + ca+ cia ( one part to clear) & having 10+ yrs exp in hard core accts & audit. hoping to join cga only. can i assess my qual with authority from here in india as my pr appli is still awaiting approval . it will cost me 100$.

For joining CGA, you credentials must be assessed by the CGA institute only. They charge CAD 350. I also got it down before landing.

For entering into the accountancy related professional courses, evaluation of credentials must be done by the respective institutes only, and different institutes have their own requirements for assessment and granting the credits....... I think it is allowed to get it done before visa. In my case I did after receiving it

Nothing till now. I am also eagerly waiting.
But did anybody notice the MRA with CPA Ireland was signed in October 2010 and the ICAI website is still showing the details will be available shortly.... I wish with CICA this would not be the case.

It means practical experience exemption is not given in general to all ICAI members but it will depends upon case to case by taking into account his pre and post qualification experience as ICAI member.

I guess membership of CICA without practical accounting license would not be of any use and getting license is tedious task as we need to write and pass CKE and other exams if we didnot pass earlier for completing UFE. Moreover fee structure is not given (at least i have not seen)

I think we should write mails to ICAI chapter Toronto for some clarifications and help. I have mailed them but they did not respond yet.Anybody can get e-mail IDs from this link

Now there is again confusion.....ICAI has posted that it has entered into MRA with CICA in Jan'2011 but actually I guess it is MOU...there is difference between MRA and MOU...however ICAI has not posted the details.
