I got my PCC from the Bangalore Lalbagh PSK today. The appointment was for 12PM and I was able to get in 2 minutes prior to that, thanks to the long queues. Once inside it took another 10-15 minutes to get my token.

Counter A -> B -> C was a breeze, took 10-15 minutes in all, most of it taken in counter A to upload the documents, take a picture etc.

I was fretting about a police verification (address changed) although my passport was renewed < 1 year back. I explained to the granting officer (Counter C) that my new address falls within the same police station jurisdiction. He said "oh no issues, you got your passport last year, now its mostly done online". Asked me a few questions - PCC for, how long in Bangalore, where do you work, designation etc. etc.

I then waited for close to 10 minutes for the seal on my passport and PCC's and then another 5-7 minutes in the exit queue.

All in all a smooth process, much faster than when I had to get my passport renewed.

Hi,

I checked the requirements of Indian Passport Seva Kendra for PCC at the below link. It mentions that we also need to show documentary proof that we are applying for a residential status elsewhere. Is it true? If yes, what document can we show ?

Thanks

I carried a copy of my ITA, but wasn't asked for any proof. My wife however was asked to produce evidence that we have applied for a visa to Canada.

So, the ITA should suffice.

Hi All,

I have got PCC from Gujarat. I have got the two copies of the PCC document from the PSK. But my passport does not have any stamp in it. There is no stamp at all in the passport for the PCC thing. Is this allowed. What are the next steps I need to do?

Here are the other options I am thinking:
  1. Go to the PSK, get the stamp on the passport and get a hand written date on it of the day when the PCC was issued i.e. a week before today.
  2. Discard the PCC I got a week before and submit for new PCC afresh.
  3. Use the existing PCC document and submit the passport without the stamp to CIC. Explain this situation in LOE.
Request members to provide their suggestions for my queries and what is the best option to follow for now to submit the eAPR. I have 45 days left for the submission.

Regards,
Nisha
