Thank you, I saw this form and section F too. It is very clear that I am supposed to put No for whether previously visited India. However, it is not clear whether the countries listed are on the basis of India and/or Canadian passport. :/

If your place of birth is from India do immigration officer in India ask for surrender certificate when entering on e-visa? Can anyone who travelled without surrender on e-visa share there experience.

I will be curious to know the answer to this as we have travel plans in March and yet to apply for Canadian passport. Also is there a link to forum where we can follow the surrender certificate timeline? Especially BLS Mississauga/ High Commission Toronto?

I haven't traveled to India on an e-visa, but I have seen people posting about surrendering their Indian passports at the regional passport office while traveling on an e-visa. It doesn't seem to be an issue, but I would still consider opinions from someone who has experienced this.

@forw.jane Is it still the case or
No need to have surrender certificate if country of birth is India? My wife just got Canadian passport and we are travelling in March so I’m unsure if we will be able to get surrender certificate by then.

Not needed. Friend traveled to India on e-visa with surrender application still not submitted to BLS.

I don't know what's the official timeline. I've applied it 3 times now. Just did couple weeks back.
I've always applied on weekdays morning and have gotten it the next night.

Hello all, I have a 1 year e-tourist VISA (stamped on my passport) and it is about to expire on October 16, 2025 (10 days from now). I might have to travel to India due to an emergency before that date. I have a couple of questions and I'd appreciate help on this matter:

1. Has anyone come across this situation? I'm reading that the application gets rejected if the current one is still valid.
2. I've read that using a travel date of the day after current VISA expiry should be okay i.e., Apply now but use Oct 17 in my case.
3. I'll need to use the new ETA upon arrival (even before Oct 16) and get the new VISA stamped.

I'm very skeptical if all this will work though. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
