I arrived Nov 2020 in Vancouver from UK to visit my now wife and we submitted an inland application for PR (along with open work permit) April 16th.
Before we did this I applied for an extension to my stay via the form IMM5708. I submitted this March 5th.
I requested another 6 months but am now thinking I should have made this 1 year because of the delays being experienced? Also, I will be able to apply for a temp driving license but only for the length of my visitor extension. Hence another reason I should have asked for more time.
Also, on the form requested the dates to and from (indicate how long you plan to stay), I put the dates starting from the exact date from which my current 6 months is up. The problem with this that I see is that by the time the application is processed, we may well have passed this date.
So, can I add an additional form / letter to explain this or will I need to resubmit from scratch?
