Incorporating with a Canadian Partner

Hi,

I'm a non-Canadian who got an offer from a Canadian friend to start a Joint Venture in BC. Is there an immigration program that will allow me to stay in Canada to set this up with him? I don't meet the net worth requirement for Entrepreneur immigration, but I'm needed in the company because of a specialized skill set that I have.

There really isn't any immigration program specifically geared towards what you're trying to do. Closest might be the Start Up Visa - however this would require you to be the one starting the business (I believe on your own) and you would need to gain the support of a recognized venture capital firm in Canada.
